The title is actually a reference to me drawing this strip right before heading off to work. (That’s me explaining the joke, kids!) I’m really unhappy with how panels 1, 2, and 4 came out. I haven’t drawn any comics in what… a week now? Yikes! Have to work on that!

I’m not a good work friend. Most people, when they’re at work, will open up to their coworkers, and they’ll have deep conversations about their ‘Real Life’. I don’t do that. When I go to work, I just want to work. I don’t want to be your work BFF. I mean, I’m a nice guy, and I’ll talk to you … about work. I don’t want to hear about your new girlfriend. I don’t want to know what you do outside of work. I just… don’t. I’m not mean about it. I don’t tell people to shove off when they approach me, but I also don’t engage conversation with anyone.

People seem to love coming to me with their problems, though. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. :/

I’ve been investing a lot of my time into Middle Earth lately. We’ll call it research. :)

That last panel contains one of my favorite memories ever. I was reading Liv the story of Arwen and Aragorn from the Appendices in Return of the King, and while I was reading about Arwen’s death… Liv started crying. It was adorable.

About a week or so ago, Liv’s friend Krista gave her a 30-day free trial for Netflix. The first movie we got was Sherlock Holmes, which I was super excited for, but totally fell asleep during. The second flick we queued was Moon. Oh my god you guys. If you can get your hands on it, go check it out. An awesome movie, for sure.

Then I put on The Fox and the Hound… but I fell asleep about halfway through. I fall asleep during every movie ever.

BUT, I didn’t fall asleep during Moon.

You may have noticed that there hasn’t been a new strip for over a week. Real life has reared its ugly head, and the comic has, once again, taken a back seat to more pressing matters. If I can squeeze one in I will (scout’s honor!) , if you don’t see one soon… you’ll know why.

I do want to take this chance to point out the new Donate page I’ve added to the menu up there. If I could get some work flowing on that side of the table, then maybe I can get myself back on my feet and get this comic updating again.
